Zimbabwe , resorts or within Harare. I have been out of the country for so long and i believe that i can apply my knowledge which i have gained over the years in my home country because i feel that our tourism industry still has the potential of attracting more visitors if we apply new stratergies and developments. I have worked in the hospitality sector and at my university as a student assistant What qualifications do you hold? National Diploma in Tourism Management awarded with a Cum Laude BTech in Tourism Management ( completed November 2011) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider both for one to apply skills there has to be knowledge in order for you to apply yourself at a more competent level in order to gain competitive advantage amoung other individuals. Formal education does give an individual composure and professionality in handling work. skills do give one an added advantage because one can apply themselves faster and it increases efficiency Describe the benefits of working with others team building,learn additional skills, tolerance, diversity, learning other cultures,religions and traditions of other people, teaches one to be humble,increased efficiency, more minds are greater than one more ideas are generated. Personally i never had a bad working experience whatever the shortfalls that came my way i took them as a lesson and i never gave up on what i was doing What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Developing the tourism Industry Attract more tourists Offer brilliant service to tourists / guests Interacting with people of diverse culture and tradition What is your take on Eco friendliness, sustainability and going green I have grown an intrest on sustainable practices, My treatise is based on Going Green which is something people need to consider especially the Tourism Department in Zimbabwe in order to make residents and tourists aware of our natural environemnt as a result of conserving the resources for the future grenerations.
