I am a senior level Aquaculture Scientist, presently working as Director under Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute. All through my career, I have earned 25+ years of professional experience in the developing countries at home & abroad mostly involved with aquaculture research and development activities. I served as UNV Fisheries/Aquaculture Specialist under UNDP, Geneva posted in Syria during 1981 to 1996.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Aquaculture from the University of Stirling, Scotland, UK in 1992. I am presently instrumental in developing carp and tilapia farming in Bangladesh particularly the hatchery management, monosex and quality seed production system designing, operation and promotion of carp and tilapia aquaculture. During the tenure of my involvement with various overseas and domestic organizations/institutions, I have earned sound experience in team building, conflict resolution and negotiation, curriculum development, patenting and technology transfer and developed excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with problem-solving expertise.

I have track record of publishing more than 100 peer reviewed journal papers and co-edited several proceedings of seminars and workshops. I have also co-authored several books; the important one is entitled “Genetic improvement and conservation of carp species in Bangladesh”. Most recently I have published two more books, one on “Farming of tilapia: Breeding plans, mass seed production and aquaculture techniques” and other on “Aquaculure of tilapia in Bangladesh: Breeding, monosex seed production and farming technique”. Both the books are being considered as useful guide to hatchery operators, entrepreneurs, progressive farmers, researchers and planners involved in developing programs for simple breeding, stock improvement, mass seed production and various aquaculture techniques of tilapia in Bangladesh and other neighboring countries.

I am looking for international Senior Aquaculture Expert/Consultant position in Middle East (Saudi Arabia or Kwuit) or South-East Asia or United States of America.
