What inspired you to launch your own website?
This is a brand new business and I love technology so a website was a must!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The website launched in September 2007.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Prime Recruitment is what we are!
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
This website is fresh, friendly and easy to navigate unlike some other recruitment websites!
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
That we are the best and most succesful Recruitment Consultancy in Guernsey!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
This has to be a success or I loose my life savings!
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would add more interactive features like a podcast and CV upload straight into my Recruitment database.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, eve if it means working 24 hours a day!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The biggest cost was getting the site built in the first place, and the biggest headache was that the site was not avaliable the day tht we launched, it was actually 2 weeks later.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Making our site 'stand out from the crowd', I wish I could afford a sponsored link on Google!
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth and Radio advertising.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I have far more admin that I would like as updaing the jobs takes time and thought.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I will keep this site running for at least 2 years in it's current format unless I get a load of cash in.
Why do you love Recruitment?
Helping people find their next or first job gives me a real buzz and I love the fact that I can have a part in some's success!
