Velcodisk is a website that tries to accomodate all of the maney aspects of a search for gainful employment. Sites are available for what has been previously mentioned, and there are more. Products and services, information pages, classifieds and auction sites are also available. Employers can look for job applicants, or post jobs on search engines.

What inspired you to launch your own website?
I was working at a government sponsored employment facility. Most of the work involved helping people navigate the Internet, and develop other skills necessary for seeking employment. I thought a multiple offering website that brought together much of what I was doing, and more would be a worthwhile endeavor.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first website was financial offering software and products relevant to investing.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was already registered with the state that I resided in from a previous failed business venture. I decided to just keep it instead of finding another name.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
It offers many more services that are related to a search for gainful employment than most other similarly oriented websites.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Right now I'm not making a ton of money, or anything. I think that I would just like to keep it for income.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It's very lopsided toward the time and money side. You have to really like working with a website.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I'd hire a good web developer.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
No problem. All that is on the other websites.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Security.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Security.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
No.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This site is in it's third year, and a couple of incarnations.
