What inspired you to launch your own website?
Knowing that I could help people worldwide move up in their career.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
1997 - It focused on professional resume writing and digital transcription in an effort to secure more clients. Target Marketing.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
This time I thought about the client specifically. "4 me"
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I write at an advanced level. I show results and achievements a lot in the resume and cover letter, sound persuasive to the reader, and offer a friendly service by phone, email or in-person.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
profit - to increase it much more. To write a book eventually.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I feel successful. Hard work is rewarding. It's perseverance.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I'd do more workshop presentations, start my own network, give back to the community - help persons who don't want to pay for resume services. But at this time I can't do that.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I would hire someone part time to respond to enquiries.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Not many. Mainly less than 24 hour turnaround time doesn't work for me any longer. I need more time to create and design a quality product...at least 48 to 72 hours.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Finding time to develop my skills further.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Google; yellow pages
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I never expected too much so I don't feel disappointed.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
This site since Sept. Previous sites since 1997. For ever now.
