The PA Department of Labor and Industry came up with a new way to do the Unemployment interviews.This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether you are the employer or the good for nothing lazy employee trying to scam them for unemployment dollars even though you did a crappy job.
L&I is calling the employers to do phone interviews to give them the chance to tell them why they REALLY got rid of the employee. They say this hopefully will increase the accuracy and efficiency of eligibility determinations.
Finally, a chance to really explain where you stand on the issues. You will probably be submitting information directly to the examiner who will decide whether the employee gets the money or not. You can't lie, but you can embellish your story with the truth, which in most lazy employee cases if the undoing of them getting their money.
